1) Entry requirements

To be eligible for University of Otago’s scholarships, you must meet a few entry requirements: You must be a high school graduate, whether or not you receive your diploma at graduation. Additionally, students pursuing undergraduate degrees must have at least one year of full-time university education under their belts.

2) Scholarship details

The University of Otago is offering ten scholarships worth up to $2,000 each for international students seeking a postgraduate degree at its campus in Dunedin. Applications for University of Otago Scholarships  are currently for 2022. Decisions will be announced in late January 2023. Successful applicants will begin their Scholarship in February or April 2023.

All students who are currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree at any New Zealand university can apply for these scholarships. The University of Otago, located in Dunedin, New Zealand’s fourth largest city, has two main campuses:

The University of Otago offers 20 entry scholarships with a total value of $2,500. In order to be eligible, applicants must have an offer for one or more entry-level master’s degree from The University of Otago. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement and financial need.

10) Entry scholarships – undergraduate level

The University of Otago offers a range of scholarship opportunities for new students. The most valuable is their Postgraduate Tuition Waiver, which covers two years’ tuition fees and can be renewed for up to three consecutive years. International students are also eligible for a range of scholarships, worth between $1,000 and $5,000.
